M2000

Before install Windows MCE:

  1. Please check SATA mode function in BIOS. If there is no this function in your BIOS, please update BIOS from Shuttle website.
  2. Download chipset driver from Shuttle website.
  3. Extract F6 Disk Driver from chipset driver: Download the files from download page and extract F6_Disk folder. Enter to F6_Disk folder and double click F6flpy32.exe to make a “F6 install driver” as blank floppy disk.
  4. Prepare a USB floppy drive to install AHCI Driver on M2000.

Start to install Windows MCE:

  1. Go to BIOS setup page and change the SATA Mode from AHCI to IDE
    1. Integrated Peripherals
    2. Into OnChip IDE Device
    3. Change to IDE mode.
  2. Go to BIOS setup page and change Quick Resume Function from Enable to Disable.
    1. Power Management Setup
    2. Change function to Disable.
  3. Install Windows MCE from CD, and Do not press F6 function key when RAID setup message string come up.
  4. When Windows install complete, please install chipset driver. And reboot the system.
  5. Manually to install F6 Disk Driver from the FDD disk.
  6. After install chipset driver, enter IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers in Device Manager, it should be show at Intel 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7 Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller – 27C4.
  7. First, remember to plug in USB FDD with Floppy Disk which contain F6 Disk Driver. Right click the Intel 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7 Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller – 27C4, select update driver and not connect to Windows Update to search for software.
  8. Select install from a list or specific location [Advanced]
  9. Select Don’t search. I will choose the driver to install
  10. Click Have disk
  11. Click OK to load AHCI Driver from the FDD
  12. Finally select Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller from USD FDD to drive AHCI.
  13. After install complete then restart the system.
  14. Go to BIOS setup page, change SATA Mode from IDE mode to AHCI Mode.
  15. Go to BIOS setup page, change Quick Resume Function from Disable to Enable.
  16. Enter to Device Manager and select the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, Check it. It will shows at Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller.
  17. Congratulations! You can install other driver to use M2000 with Windows MCE.
