SD30G2 Plus

When tested with the SD30S1A7.BIN BIOS, the system will auto-detect, compatible, 800MHz memory at a frequency of 667MHz even after Loading Optimized Defaults in the BIOS. This is normal as this system is optimized to work with 667MHz RAM. Though the system is designed to use 667MHz memory, it is possible to use 800MHz memory though it will be under-clocked to 667MHz.

With certain RAM, it is possible to over-clock the memory to the 800MHz range.

Please keep in mind that this is possible with certain memory. Some memory brands may not be compatible with this system and you will not be able to overclock them to the 800MHz range.

To find out if your system is able to achieve this with your, particular, memory please go into the Frequency/Voltage Control section of the BIOS, locate DRAM Timing Selectable; change it from “By SPE,” to “Manual.” In the same section, navigate to “System Memory Frequency,” and change the setting to 800MHz or 834MHz, depending on what is available in the setting. Press F10 to Save and Quit the BIOS. The system will reboot and should reflect the change in memory frequency as modified above.
